Road accident is the most burning issue of our country. And major portion of its victims are our students. So the students should take the responsibility to save the country from the curse of road accident. The students of Bangladesh Health Professions Institute has realized this truth and finally accepted the challenge. They have formed CRP-Road Safety Forum whose main concern is to fight against road accident.
On 13th April, they have arranged the Debate Competition. The topic was “Drivers and helpers were responsible behind road traffic accident”. Both the ally team as well as the opponent team showed their brilliant performance. Probably for the first time in our country a debate competition was held in this issue. The program began at 2.30pm in Patients’ Dining Room. Prof. Dr. M A Quader, the Principal inaugurated & chaired the program and it was coordinated by Md.Waliul Islam, advocacy and networking officer of CRP. Pradip Das ( also known as Akash Pradip) the Lecturer and Secretary of the Road Safety Forum delivered a short speech. Md. Julker Nayan, the Coordinator of Occupational Therapy Department, Md. Nasirul Islam, Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy and Md. Jahangir Alam, the Coordinator of Speech & Language Therapy Department Therapy Department took the responsibility of judgment. At the end of the program certificates were distributed among the participants.
Masud Rana, Faruq Ahmed, ATM Thouhid and Nazmul Hasan along with all other students who are associated with Road Safety Forum deserve special appreciation for the grand initiative that they have taken.
